Install

Install from Shopify Admin after the app is approved or available for testing.

Approve PCD access

CustomerClean Audit uses Level 2 protected customer data fields for email, phone, and address. Until access is available, protected fields can appear as access-limited.

Run first sync

Open Sync and start customer sync. Progress is persisted in D1 and continues independently of browser refreshes.

Understand quality score

Scores start at 100 and subtract configured rule weights for fields that are accessible and truly missing.

Missing vs redacted

Redacted fields are not treated as missing. They are marked as access-limited.

Export reports

Exports include statuses and masked values by default. Raw fields require approved access and explicit merchant selection.

Privacy and deletion

Privacy webhook requests remove or anonymize stored customer audit data according to Shopify requirements.

Review testing

Reviewers should open the embedded app, confirm PCD status, run sync, inspect audit filters, configure rules, export CSV, and inspect billing, logs, settings, and privacy pages.
