Privacy Policy

CustomerClean Audit processes protected customer data so merchants can audit the completeness of customer records inside Shopify Admin.

Protected fields requested

The app requests access to customer email, phone, and address fields. It does not request customer names by default unless Shopify requires that access for a tested feature.

Purpose

Data is used only for customer data quality auditing, filtering, reporting, review workflow, and merchant-requested CSV exports.

Limits

The app does not read orders, update customers, change consent, send email, send SMS, add or remove tags, create companies, modify themes, or affect checkout.

Data minimization

D1 stores quality flags, masked values, consent states, counts, scores, and sync metadata. Raw contact snapshots are off by default and, when enabled by merchant settings, are encrypted. Owner/admin dashboards show aggregate operational metadata only and do not display raw customer contact data.

Privacy webhooks

The app supports Shopify mandatory privacy webhooks for customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction. Merchants can request deletion through support.
